Cargo Drone Behaviors

Since 4.0, there seems to be a new drone behavior (or at least one I don't remember) called Trade.

As I understand it, the cargo drone behaviors only apply when you take over the ship. I thought if I set them to Trade, that the drones would only trade with stations when I'm in command. However, I jumped onto the Erlking last night, and out popped a bunch of cargo drones!

Perhaps I'm not interpreting right. The other options are all about collecting floating wares in space, so maybe that option causes the drones to pick up floating trade wares?
